the quad god

Only a couple months after my Tibial Plateau Fracture, I wasn’t quite ready to hop back on 2-wheels, but I wasn’t going to just sit around. The Quad God was born. I honestly had way too much fun on 4 wheels and want to get another soon.

  1. polaris etx

I found a "like new" 2015 Polaris Sportsman for sale on FB Marketplace. Unfortunately after getting it home and riding it around the property we found a MAJOR issue, it overheats! A large stick must have punctured a couple holes in the fins of the radiator and instead of replacing it they decided to add some sealing liquid and JB weld.. I was able to find a replacement radiator on eBay for $24 shipped, it was for a different model but I had a feeling it was the same and sure enough we got lucky. Only a day later someone gave me an offer that I couldn't refuse and we loaded it up to drop it off to its new owner.

2. Can-am outlander 650xt

This thing was an absolute beast.. With the Rotax engine derived from their snowmobiles, this 650cc monster ripped through the trails and could even bring the front wheels up with throttle only. I ultimately wanted something snorkeled and while they do sell kits they are a PIA to install and reliability isn’t the best..

3. honda rancher 420

After selling the Canned Ham I was on the hunt for a replacement. My favorite thing to do on a four wheeler is play in the water so it only made sense to get a Honda. After a couple long weeks I came across an amazing deal on a Rancher 420 4X4. One problem, it was in NEW YORK! But if you know me, I can't pass up a good deal so we loaded up the Grandpa mobile and headed east to pick up this barn find of a 4 wheeler.

4. honda rubicon

And like most of my stories begin, I just so happened to open up FB Marketplace one night and came across a listing for a mint condition Honda Rubicon. With how rare they were at the time I held my excitement until I saw that it was in fact a foot shift with EPS! The foot shift is far superior for the water and as many of you know it lived its life as a boat more than a quad.

snorkel + modifications

I had never snorkeled a 4 wheeler before so I was a bit nervous as to what I was getting myself into. I wanted to make sure the install was perfect so I did my research and ended up putting together one of the best snorkel tutorials on the internet.
